1.9" Ornithomimid (Struthiomimus) Toe Bone - Montana

This is a nicely preserved 1.9" long ornithomimid theropod (Struthiomimus sp.) phalange (toe bone) from the Hell Creek Formation of Dawson County, Montana. The bone is in impeccable condition with exquisite preservation, requiring no repair or restoration.

Struthiomimus were long-legged, bipedal, ostrich-like dinosaurs with toothless beaks. They reached estimated sizes of approximately 13 feet in length. It is thought that due to their abundance, they must have been herbivores or omnivores.
