2.2" Huntonia Trilobite - Oklahoma

This is a beautiful Huntonia huntonensis trilobite from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. Complete Huntonia's are pretty scarce trilobites in the formation. This one was found in cross section and expertly prepared using air tools under microscope. It's 2.2" long and just slightly arched so that it looks like it's crawling over the rock. The detail is amazing, with even the individual facets in the eyes being visible. Part of the left cheeks and genal spine has been sheered away, something that occurred prior to the trilobite being fossilized. It's a beautiful specimen regardless.
