2.6" Fossil Cricket, Fly, Horsetail & Seed Pod Plate - Utah

This is a really cool 2.6" wide slab of shale featuring a .5" long fossil cricket (order Orthoptera), multiple fly (order Diptera) fossils, a horsetail (Equisetum winchesteri) stalk, and a seed pod, collected from the Green River Formation of Utah. While this formation is best known for well-preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic display stand.
