2.6" Hoploscaphites Ammonite With Baculites - Montana

 
This is a specimen of the ammonite Hoploscaphites crassus from the the Pierre Shale of Montana. There are several clam and baculites fossils preserved in the same matrix as the ammonite. The rock has been sculpted so that the piece stands on it's own without the need for a display stand.
