2.8" Insane Dicranurus Trilobite - Flying Preparation
This is bizarre trilobite looks like something you might see in an Aliens movie. It's fittingly named Dicranurus monstrosus. While fakes of this trilobite abound, real examples like this one are fairly rare, and ones of this quality don't come around very often.
This specimen measures 2.8" wide and the preparation is spectacular, leaving it "flying" above the limestone on a stone pedestal. The fossil is restoration free other than the typical repair lines where it was found via cross-section.
