Carboniferous Fossil Ferns (Sphenopteris) - Poland
This is two very well preserved fossil ferns (Sphenopteris) from the Silesia Coal Beds, Poland. This specimen contains two leaflets, both about 1" long. They are likely from the same frond. This is a small but interesting example shows great detail, especially under magnification.
