3.7" Fossil Conifer (Podozamites) Plate - Australia

This is a 3.7" wide plate that contains fossil conifer leaves of the species Podozamites jurassica. This specimen was collected from the Talbragar Fish Beds of New South Wales, Australia. Podozamites is unique in that each leaf contains multiple veins, unlike most modern day conifers which have a single vein, limiting the leaves size, shape and ability to flower.

Comes with an acrylic display stand.
