3.8" Fossil Baculites in Concretion - Mississippi

This is a fossil Baculites from the Cretaceous age Ripley Formation of Pontotoc County, Mississippi. It's preserved within a concretion and comes with acrylic display stands for presentation. Both halves of the concretion are included. Baculites ("walking stick rock") is an extinct cephalopod genus with a nearly straight shell.
