4.25" Sub-Adult Running Rhino (Hyracodon) Jaw Section - South Dakota
This is a 4.25" long mandible section from the right side of the jaw of a sub-adult running rhino (Hyracodon nebraskensis). It was collected from the the Brule Formation in South Dakota and would be approximately 30-33 million years old. There are three complete preserved teeth still embedded in the jaw.
It is accompanied by an acrylic display stand. There are a couple repaired cracks through the jaw with spots of gap fill restoration.
