5.2" Eocene Fossil Leaf (Allophylus) - Green River Formation

This is a 5.2" long fossil leaf from the plant Allophylus flexifolia. Allophyllus is a genus of flowering plants in the Sapindaceae (Soapberry) family, members of which still survive today.

This Eocene-aged fossil has great detail in its primary venations and margins, and a dark coloration that contrasts well against the shale.

This specimen includes a metal/acrylic stand.
