5.2" Fossil Running Rhino (Hyracodon) Jaw Section - South Dakota

This is a 5.2" wide mandible (left side) section from a sub-adult running rhino (Hyracodon nebraskensis). It was collected from the the Brule Formation in South Dakota and would be approximately 30-33 million years old. There are two complete preserved teeth still embedded in the jaw and a section of rock is still attached to the bone.

It is accompanied by the pictured display stand.
