6.7" Fossil Leaf and Horsetail Plate - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a 6.7" wide fossil leaf and horsetail plate from the Green River Formation of Utah. It features a beautiful 4.7" long wingnut (Pterocarya roanensis) leaf preserved alongside a monocot fossil, a willow leaf (Salix cockerelli), and a horsetail (Equisetum winchesteri) stem.

While the Green River Formation is best known for its fish fossils from Wyoming, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.
