7.4" Partial Sauropod Caudal Vertebra - Colorado
This is a 7.4" long, partial sauropod caudal vertebra from the Morrison Formation, Colorado. It is one end of the body (centrum) of the vertebra. The vertebral are and processes are missing. This specimen has a repaired crack.
Unlike the soft sandstone in other parts of the Morrison Formation, the Sutton Quarry bones come from hard sandstone, resulting in very nice preservation with no crushing.
