8.4" Fossil Brittle Star Mortality Plate - California

This is a plate of fossil brittle stars of the species Ophiocrossota oweni. The plate is a mortality layer from the Miocene aged Santa Margarita Formation of San Luis Obispo County, California. The layer is basically solid brittle star fossils, most of which are about 1" wide.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
