8.7" Plate with Four Fossil Leaves (Three Species) - Montana

These are four fossil leaves, one of the species Zizyphoides flabellum, two of Davidia antiqua, and one Celtis asperum leaf, collected from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. The dark orange/brown preservation contrasts well against the shale, and many of the details in the leaves can be seen in good relief. There may be some touchups to the surface of the leaves where portions of them flaked onto the negative during collection.

This specimen includes an acrylic display stand.
