8.7" Polished Stromatolite (Inzeria) From Russia - 950 Million Years
This is a 8.7" polished slab of Neoproterozoic stromatolites (Inzeria tjomusi) from the Inzer River, Bashkortostan Region, Russia. These precambrian stromatolites come from the Katavskaya (Katav) Formation, Karatau Group, and have been dated to between 850 and 950 million years old. This specimen has been cut flat on both sides and polished on one.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.
