8.8" Fossil Leaf (Macginitiea & Lygodium) Plate - Insect Predation!

This is a 8.8" wide, thick slab of shale containing multiple fossil leaves. The largest is a sycamore (Macginitiea wyomingensis) leaf, preserved alongside a Lygodium kaulfussii leaf; a species of climbing fern. There are two additional, partial leaves, both of which show insect predation. This specimen was collected from the Green River Formation in Utah.

Comes with an acrylic-metal display stand.

While the Green River Formation is best known for its fish fossils from Wyoming, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.
