.8" Fossil Echinoid (Polydiadema) - France

This is a beautiful fossil urchin of the species Polydiadema inaequale, from the Upper Callovian stage of the Middle Jurassic period (~165 Million Years Ago). It was found in the Dogger Formation of Orne, France. This urchin is in good shape, though there is some notable breakage on one face of the urchin. It measures .8" in length. Comes with an acrylic display case.
