9.2" Rare, Undescribed Asaphid Trilobite - Draa Valley, Morocco
This is an interesting, big, Lower Ordovician asaphid trilobite from Morocco I acquired a couple years ago and had re-prepared. It's the only specimen of this type I've encountered from the area. It appears to be a type of Nobiliasaphus possibly and intermediate species between Nobiliasaphus repulsus and Nobiliasaphus ingens.
At 9.2" in length and 7.5" wide it it is a best, and nicely centered on a large section of black limestone. It also has no restoration.
