Bargain 1.1" Asaphus Lepidurus Trilobite - Russia
This is a small specimen of the Ordovician trilobite Asaphus lepidurus. It was collected from the Putilovo quarry in the St. Petersburg region of Russia. It's 1.1" long and partially curled over. It displays nicely on the limestone matrix.
Like nearly all of the trilobites from these layers there is some shell restoration as the shell tends to flake during collection. The right eye is restored as well as a large patch of the left side of the tail and top of some of the axial rings near the tail of the trilobite.
