Detailed Fossil Bark Beetle (Hylastes) In Baltic Amber - Rare!
This is a rare and detailed 44 million year old fossil bark beetle (order Coleoptera - subfamily Scolytinae - genus Hylastes) preserved in Baltic amber. Including the wings, the beetle is about 4mm long.
