Detailed Fossil Leaves, Seed, and Ant - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a naturally associated cluster of fossil leaves preserved alongside a valved seed and an ant, collected from the Green River Formation of Utah. The leaves include Macginitiea wyomingensis (sycamore), Populus tidwellii (poplars/cottonwoods), and Rhus nigricans (sumac). The plate itself measures 7.8 x 5.5".

While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant and insect fossils.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
