Detailed Ordovician Brittle Stars (Ophiura) - Morocco

This is a cluster of three wide fossil brittle star s(Ophiura sp.) from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. It is Ordovician in age, approximately 450 million years old.
The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.

The rock measures 5.1 x 4.4" and it comes with an acrylic display stand.
