Eocene Fossil Cricket and Grasshopper - Green River Formation

This is a .55" long cricket (order Orthoptera) fossil preserved alongside a 1" long grasshopper (order Orthoptera - suborder Caelifera) fossil, collected from the Green River Formation of Utah. While this formation is best known for well-preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic display stand.
