Fossil Crane Fly and True Midge in Baltic Amber
This piece of 44 million year old Baltic amber contains a beautifully preserved crane fly (family Limoniidae) and a true midge (family Chironomidae). The length of the crane fly, including legs, is about 7.5mm.
