Fossil Leaf Plate - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a plate of three well-preserved fossil leaves. The largest is of the species Distylium eocenica (3.2"), along with Quercus cuneatus (oak) and Mimosites coloradensis fossil leaves. They are sourced from the Green River Formation of Uintah County, Utah.

While this formation is best known for well-preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain very diverse flora and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
