Fossil Sumac Leaf with Crane Fly - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a fossil sumac (Rhus sp.) leaf measuring .8" long, located alongside a beautifully detailed crane fly (family Tipulidae) fossil, collected from the Green River Formation of Utah. The plate itself measures 3.3 x 2.5".

While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant and insect fossils.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
