Gorgeous Cyphaspides Trilobite - Super Preparation

This is an EXCEPTIONALLY well preserved and prepared specimen of a rare undescribed species of Cyphaspides (long spined variety) quarried near Jorf, Morocco. The shell preservation on this specimen is gorgeous and it was prepared by one of, if not the best preparators of Moroccan trilobites. You can see all of the intricate surface details preserved including the fringe along the front of the cephalon and rows of nodes along the axis and thoracic segments.

The specimen is partially enrolled but would be about 1.2" long if outstretched. Complete specimens of this species are extremely rare.
