Large Labiostria Trilobite In Nodule, Positive

Here is a large 1.68 inch long Labiostria westropi preserved within a calcite nodule or "cap" that was split open. This is a very nice example of the species and certainly within the top 5% size wise. Access to the collecting localities within the McKay Group is now fairly limited, and this was part of a small lot a was able to acquire from a claim holder.
