Mating Fossil Flies (Diptera) In Baltic Amber
These are detailed, 44 million year old fossil flies (order Diptera), preserved in baltic amber. The flies became trapped in amber while in the process of mating. Each fly is about 2mm wide and the amber specimen comes with an acrylic display case.
As a reminder, most inclusions in baltic amber are extremely small so magnification will be needed to make out much detail. Included with your order is a physical photo of the specimen, and we will also email you a high resolution digital copy.
