Nicely Prepared Drocidaris Urchin - Cretaceous, Morocco

This is a beautifully prepared specimen of the Drocidaris taouzensis at type of echinoderm (sea urchin). Most of the limestone has been removed surrounding it, but a base of rock has been left so that it displays free-standing on a pedestal. It was found from the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian Stage) deposits near Taouz, Morocco.
