Rare, 4.8" Fossil Aetosaur Cervical Vertebra - New Mexico
This is a 4.8" tall aetosaur cervical vertebra collected from the Upper Triassic-aged Bull Canyon Formation of Quay County, New Mexico. It's in great condition with an intact neural canal and multiple areas of cortical bone preservation.
There is a repaired crack along the inferior edge as well as some repaires through the neural canal. Comes with an acrylic display stand.

Aetosaurs are an extinct order of heavily armored, medium to large-sized Late Triassic herbivorous archosaurs. They had small heads, upturned snouts, erect limbs, and a body covered by plate-like scutes.
