KOLWEZITE SPECIMENS

Kolwezite is a rare copper-cobalt carbonate mineral that most frequently bears a green color, often olive or sage green. It is part of the rosasite group, a group of metal hydroxide carbonate minerals that includes more common species like malachite. Typically forming in oxidized copper-cobalt hydrothermal ore deposits, it earned its name from the locality it was discovered, Kolwezi in the Katanga Province of the D.R. Congo.
