PEACOCK ORE SPECIMENS

Commonly referred to as Peacock Ore due to its brilliant iridescent coloration, this rock is actually chalcopyrite that has been treated with acid. This acid treatment mimics a natural process that results in the much rarer copper-based mineral bornites.
