This is a 1.95" long, light blue specimen of sharp bladed barite crystals. You can see a coating of light brown limonite on the crystals and the blades. The specimen was collected from the Nador Province of Morocco. A truly stunning specimen that would make an excellent addition to any collection.

About Barite (Baryte)

Barite is a barium sulfate mineral (BaSO₄) known for its high specific gravity, which makes it unusually heavy for a non-metallic mineral. Typically forming in tabular or bladed crystals, barite can also appear in massive, fibrous, or nodular habits.
