This is a beautiful, sparkling druzy quartz crystal encrusted geode section from the Amethyst mines near Artigas, Uruguay. The "rind" of the geode has been nicely polished and it has a custom metal stand creating a very aesthetic display piece. The geode itself is 10.7" tall and it stands 13.5" tall on the custom stand. The coloration of the quartz is a result of the impurities within the deeper agate/quartz formations.
