This massive 49.5" wide amethyst geode is an extraordinary display piece, showcasing a sweeping interior lined with amethyst crystals in excellent condition. The open face of the geode is beautifully cut and positioned so that none of the crystal-lined cavity is concealed, allowing natural and ambient light to reach deep inside and illuminate every shimmering point. The crystals display rich purple coloration and sharp, well-preserved terminations, creating a vibrant, sparkling surface across the entire interior. The rind of the geode has been polished, creating a smooth, refined border that beautifully frames the crystal-lined interior.
Nestled within the amethyst is a single prominent calcite crystal that serves as a striking focal point. Its contrasting form and lighter tone stand out dramatically against the surrounding purple druse. Mounted securely on a sturdy custom metal display stand, the piece commands attention at a full 66" tall including the base, making it a powerful natural centerpiece suited for grand interiors or gallery settings.

About Uruguay Amethyst
Though Brazil produces a greater volume of amethyst, the material from the Artigas region of Uruguay is renowned for its exceptional depth of color and superb crystal quality. Uruguayan amethyst typically forms in dense basalt flows and develops into richly saturated, grape-purple crystals that are considered some of the finest in the world. Because we import our specimens directly from the mines, we’re able to offer outstanding prices on everything from dramatic geodes to premium clusters and collector-grade crystal formations.
