This is a gorgeous, 12" wide, dark purple amethyst geode from the mines near Artigas, Uruguay. It has excellent color and the edges have been polished to reveal a greenish rind to the geode. There are some "stalactite" formations present that add to the uniqueness of the piece.

This beautiful specimen includes the custom metal display stand shown in the photos.
