2.7" Sparkly Druzy Amethyst Cabochon - Artigas, Uruguay
This is an amethyst crystal cluster that has been cut along the edges and back and polished to a matte-finish. This cabochon would make for a good large pendant or center piece on a necklace, or be a nice display piece on its own. This amethyst was collected from the famed amethyst mines of Artigas, Uruguay.
About Uruguay Amethyst
Though Brazil produces a greater volume of amethyst, the material from the Artigas region of Uruguay is renowned for its exceptional depth of color and superb crystal quality. Uruguayan amethyst typically forms in dense basalt flows and develops into richly saturated, grape-purple crystals that are considered some of the finest in the world.
