3.4" Geometric, Halite Crystal Cluster - Rudna Mine, Poland

This is a stunning, translucent formation of cubic halite stalactite crystals from the Rudna Copper Mine in Lubin, Poland. The specimen has a fun branching shape that is quite pleasing.

It has been mounted to an acrylic display base.

Halite, more commonly known as rock salt, is a form of the mineral sodium chloride (NaCl). It forms when salt-rich waters evaporate and can be colored by mineral impurities.
