3.5" Vibrant, Free-Standing Polished Pink Calcite - Pakistan

This is a 3.5" section of polished pink calcite & aragonite from Balochistan Province, Pakistan. The base of the stone has been cut flat so that it stands up nicely on a hard surface.

This is a very vibrant material that comes from the same location where "caribbean calcite" is mined, but is much more rare. The calcite/aragonite probably gets its color for cobalt, thus is might technically be cobaltoan calcite, but we can't confirm this.
