3" Colorful Polished Llanite Sphere - Texas
This is an absolutely beautiful, polished sphere of llanite collected near Llano, Texas. It measures 3" wide and has been flawlessly polished to a glossy finish all the way around.

Llanite is a porphyritic rhyolite primarily consisting of quartz, feldspar, and biotite mica crystals. It is similar in appearance to Que Sera stone, bearing beautiful blue quartz pockets within an orange and brown matrix. The blue coloration of the quartz is likely a result of ilmenite inclusions. It can only be found in Llano County, Texas, after which it is named.
