About Salairsky Mine

In 2013, rich deposits of high-quality azurite and malachite were discovered when specimens were noticed in slag heaps at the Kamenushinskoye copper deposit. Specimens from this deposit are now highly prized by collectors for their beauty. The intense colors in these azurite and malachite specimens are due to the copper ions in the minerals.
