4" Pyritohedral Pyrite Cluster - Large Crystals
This is a nice specimen of pyritohedral pyrite crystals from Peru. These pyrite specimens are getting a much more expensive and harder to acquire in recent years because the mines are now preventing miners from collecting the pyrite.
About Pyrite
Pyrite, or iron pyrite, is best known as “Fool’s Gold” thanks to its bright metallic luster and pale brass-yellow color, which can easily be mistaken for real gold in poor lighting.
