10.3" Purple Amethyst Geode With Polished Edge - Uruguay
This is a beautiful, purple amethyst geode from the famous mines near Artigas, Uruguay. It is 10.3" wide, 5.7" tall, 5.3" deep and weighs just over 11.5 lbs. It's filled with sparkling, has a colorful polished agate face, purple amethyst crystals and displays well on a flat surface. The green color is likely attributed to the presence of chlorite during formation.
There is a crack that runs around much of the geode, however it has been stabilized with glue, hence the reduced price for such a beautiful specimen!
We import our material directly from the mines in Artigas, Uruguay and it is much darker, higher quality material than you normally see for sale.
