Fluorescent Zircon Crystal and Magnetite in Biotite Schist - Norway
This beautiful specimen features a deep red-brown zircon crystal that's still partially embedded in the biotite (mica schist) and magnetite matrix it formed within. It was collected from Finnmark, Norway and the crystal measures .69" wide. Under short-wave UV the zircon fluoresces a stunning yellow color!
