11.6" Free-Standing Polished Killaloe Opal Section - Australia

This is a 11.6" tall section of vibrantly colored Killaloe opal. The opal features beautiful red, pink, and yellow mottling. One side has been polished to a mirror-like finish, and the other side has been left in its natural state. The bottom has been cut flat for a beautiful aesthetic display.

About Killaloe Opal

Killaloe Opal is a relatively unknown, common opal (or opalite/jasper) found near Norseman in Western Australia. Mined in limited quantities, it is often polished to display its earthy, scenic patterns. It is sometimes called Killaloe Jasper. It is a 6 on the mohs hardness scale, making it quite suitable for polishing, tumbling, and lapidary work.
