Huge 20.5" Polished Wyloo Agate Section - Australia

This is a gorgeous section of Wyloo agate from Western Australia. It has been cut flat on one side and polished to a mirror like finish, revealing some very interesting geometric patterns. The remainder of this specimen has been left in its original state. There are a few natural pockets on the polished side, adding to its aesthetic appeal.

Wyloo agate, also known as Ashburton agate, was formed about 900 million years ago when silica-rich solutions entered the 2 billion year old dolomite host rocks after a major tectonic event. This resulted in agate formations and pockets of quartz crystals.

Comes with a metal stand to assist with display.
