This is a stunning, deep purple amethyst geode from the famous mines near Artigas, Uruguay. It is 8.2" wide, 5" tall, 7.5" deep and weighs almost 18 lbs. It's filled with large, dark purple amethyst crystals and displays well on a flat surface. The outer surface is almost completely polished, displaying the agate and mineral formations within the rock, beautifully. There is also a small cavity on the back side of the geode which contains druzy quartz and a unique, flat mineral formation.

We import our material directly from the mines in Artigas, Uruguay and it is much darker, higher quality material than you normally see for sale.
