This is a wholesale lot of 20 lbs of beautiful, polished blue calcite from Madagascar. The lot is made up of 14 pieces measuring from approximately 4 to 6" across/tall. Each piece has the bottom cut flat allowing them to stand upright on a flat surface and create a beautiful display without the need of a stand.

About Madagascar Blue Calcite
Blue calcite from Madagascar is a soothing, pastel-blue variety of calcite prized for its soft translucence and cloud-like banding. It is primarily mined in the Atsimo-Andrefana and Analamanga regions, where thick limestone deposits have undergone extensive alteration by mineral-rich fluids. These deposits produce large, massive veins of high-quality blue material that are easily worked and polished, making Madagascar one of the world’s most reliable sources for vibrant blue calcite spheres, towers, and decorative pieces.
Its gentle blue coloration comes from trace amounts of mineral inclusions—most notably microscopic particles of copper, along with subtle variations in crystal structure and the presence of minute organic matter trapped during formation.
